Wait for the blu-ray (or derivatives thereof) because it is not.

I actually might get to see it free at my casinos cinema next month. It will be shown on the 13th of May so I hope I'm free.

I think this question can only be answered by you and you alone. It all depends on what type of entertainment do you seek in a movie theater. Shazam! was a lot of fun for me but it is not the epic that is Avengers endgame, Shazam ! never tried to be an epic movie but more of a breezy, unpretentious superhero flick for the all family. If you OK with that, I do not see why you would have a bad time in the cinema.

It wasn't great but it was okay. It was worth my time and I'd like to see Zack Levi continue the character.
