Literally have no clue whos gonna win....
that would be one of my top choices as well. i would also say bones vs dc, if that should really ever happen again.

I think Halloway Really believes he can and is going to beat Aldo, Other than Conor I'm not sure Aldo's every faced an opponent(at least while he's been champ) that truly knew they were going to beat him...Obviously all fighters prepare and have confidence, but I think damn near everyone Aldo has fought Knew they were fighting a better fighter
IMO Aldo Will Win, But I think Its going to be A Good fight...I could see Aldo Winning the 3 rounds and Halloway winning the last 2 and all 5 rounds be competitive

in mma a lot can happen, so if even connor can get lucky, i would not rule out a holloway victory. i am with you, though. my money is also on aldo.

Demian Maia vs. Jorge Masvidal(Maia Via Human Back Pack)
Frankie Edgar vs. Yair Rodríguez(Interesting Fight, I wish we could have seen Yair against A decent wrestler before this, I Suspect Frankie will win a decision, But I think Yair Will eat him alive on the feet until Frankie can get it to the ground)
Henry Cejudo vs. Sergio Pettis (Cejudo by Domination)
Eddie Alvarez vs. Dustin Poirier(Another Interesting Fight, could go either way, I got Poirier by Split Dec.)
what are your predictions?
to be honest, i am excited for every UFC event. you never know what you get. so many times i was excited because of the card, but most of the fights did suck and on the other hand sometimes even the prelim fights positively surprise you, even though the card does not seem that interesting.
Stipe vs jds - hard to call. i think this will go to decision.
j vs j - my money is on joanna, but i would love to be surprised. lost all respect for her in her TUF season
dm vs jm - also tough one. decision. demian.
FE vs YR - also decision. edgar.
cejudi vs pettis - also tough one. i would not count pettis out yet. nevertheless split decision for cejudo.
ed vs dustin - fully agreed, but i thing ed will have this.
It going to be extremely odd if JDS wins and is the UFC Champ.
Because We simply can't get past the fact that he's got destroyed by Cain.
The Beatings he took in those 2 fights, Literally took years off his career. after that 3rd fight it was extremely hard to imagine JDS being champ again or ever getting another fight with Cain
Yet somehow, JDS has the Opportunity to become champ again, and if he does it will just seem Odd seeing him as champ when we know Cain is getting healthy and Would surely destroy him again.
I actually couldn't understand why The UFC gave JDS this title shot...He's coming off only 1 win and hasn't looked great...Werdum definitely deserved The shot more..so I started looking and I found the answer.
UFC 198 was A Pretty stacked card, It had a lot of Legends and Draws, The Main Event was Werdum vs Stipe..
But The Pay Per View did a HORRIBLE Buy rate...selling 217 K PPVs...
Werdum headline UFC 180 against Hunt, It did Awful Sales, selling 185 K PPVs
Werdum Vs Cain at UFC 188 did Low PPV buys selling 300K.
Basically to the UFC Werdum can't sell PPV's...
JDS's 2 fights against Cain did 590 and 330K and Stipes fight against Overeem did 450K
The UFC had the choice of giving Werdum(the true number 1 contender) a rematch, But It would be a rematch of a fight that did AWFUL PPV numbers
Or They could go with JDS who is a Proven slightly better drawer.
Werdum's fight with Miocic at UFC 198 just did such shockingly low numbers, The UFC had Zero interest in a rematch.

Stipe, Damn didn't expect him to run through JDS like that...I'm now extremely impressed with him and especially his Current run hes on...he's 5 and 0 in his last 5 fight, all 5 wins by KO and The Last 4 coming all in round 1 against all Former Champions...
Stipe Vs Cain just became probably my most anticipated upcoming fight, that fight really has the potential to be one of the best HW fights of all time, If Stipe beats Cain and If He does convincingly he will cement himself as one of the greatest HW's of all time. But thats going to be extremely hard IMO Cains still on top of his game, I literally can't wait
Next Joanna, Damn A Masterpiece, She really is one of the best strikers in MMA...Shes extremely close right now to being The Female GOAT
Maia...Boring but I respect it...I think he'll have trouble with Woodley Maia gasses worse than Woodley, If Maia doesn't Sub him in round 1, I dont see it happening
Frankie, Savage...just mauled Yair...Would enjoy seeing Frankie Vs Halloway if Halloway beats Aldo(and thats a HUGE If)
Poirior...Disappointed...Dustin wanted out...He was winning that fight, hurt Eddie, went for the finish, emptied the gas tank and got hurt and then looked to try and get the DQ...Eddie's Knees were brutal and Illegal but Dustin could have went on, he just didn't want to...
Pretty good card all and all...but definitely my biggest takeaway was Stipe...I just had been criminally under rating him and it took this destruction of JDS for me to realize it and realize how impressive him current run is...I now want Stipe Vs Cain so bad, I just hope Cain can be healthy

TJ and Cody is a straight up 50/50 Pick em fight...could go either way, by far my most anticipated fight of the year
I think GSP is either going to win a boring decision or straight up get Destroyed....
I'm thinking second round TKO for Bisping after Rocking and Hurting GSP several times...
I think Cody and TJ will be an extremely close match until Cody catches him sometime in round 2 or 3.

yeah, cody vs tj will be interesting. cody to me is like a mcgregor that can actually fight, but i would prefer tj to win. my money is on cody though.
i learned to love bispin over the years, but i think gsp got this in the pocket. boring fight? most likely. yeah, going to decision sounds quite plausible.
joanna is getting a bit too cocky for my taste. she will make mistakes sooner or later. this fight would be an interesting moment for such a mistake. i doubt it though.

I'm not kidding, I would favor Khabib Beating BOTH Tony and Conor in the same night rather than 1 or both beating him...
lol Like I'm not kidding, If UFC 224 was announced, and The first fight on the main card was Khabib Vs Tony for The Interium Title, Then there was 3 more fights, Then the Main Event was Conor VS Khabib for the Undisputed Title, I would absolutely favor and Bet on Khabib beating BOTH Tony and Conor in the same night on the same card rather than 1 or both of them beating Him...
lol I wish people understood how Great BOTH Barboza and RDA are, and Khabib Literally Murdered them....
Khabib has not lost a round in the UFC...He doesn't just beat fighters, He 1 sided Dominates ELITE Fighters...
Khabib truly may retired undefeated, I just hope he can stay healthy because if he does, We may witness A 3 year run of Pure Dominance the likes of which has never been seen..
With that being said, I do think Both Conor and Tony have ways to win, and I would love to see those fighters...
for Conor, I think in the first 2 rounds hes got a 50% chance of KOING Khabib after 8 mins though, I think Conors chances go from 50% to like under 5%
Tony also IMO has a chance in the first 2 rounds at getting the Sub, But after 2 rounds I think Tony has basically no shot because I think he will have taken so damaged from GNP that he'll just be in survival mode and be way to compromised

I remember the little clique on the TUF board from years ago. This would've been about 2008 or 2009.
Eventually I ended up finding other homes (Sherdog and one other, much smaller forum) but when the new season kicks off I'll check in and see if there's any activity around these parts.
Yeah, I always considered the TUF board a nice summarized version of Sherdog, where you didn't have to go through as much crap to get the good stuff. Pretty much any big MMA-related story was posted on the TUF board and had a few replies by the time I got there.
shareYeah. I eventually felt like it was a little TOO small of a community to be satisfying to me but it was interesting how a message board on IMDB became its own mini-version of Sherdog, with talk not just about the Ultimate Fighter but anything MMA-related.
I was wondering if that community might rebuild itself here at MovieChat but it doesn't look like it.
It'd be cool to have a few people back. When Rose won I instantly thought of TVJ who always had Rose as his top girl.
