Put her in wheelchair - get her out of bed, get her outside!

Yeah, she was totally paralyzed, but couldn't she have been put into a wheelchair and Clint or others wheel her out of her room, out of the hospital, maybe take her to a park? Yeah, she'd probably still have wanted to end her life, unless she could find something else she cared about. But she was just stuck in that bed, 24/7, awful terrible life. She was in another movie YOU'RE NOT YOU - where her character's health was declining and she was getting bummed at being so slowed down, then she's put into a wheelchair (she had ability to navigate that one) and suddenly she's happy for awhile.
Any reason Swank's character in MDB couldn't have been put into a wheelchair and taken places? And getting her out of bed now and then might have helped the circulation in her leg so it wouldn't have had to be cut off.
