Man, those Asterix & Obelix movies, cartoons and comics I read and watched as a child has decieved me. Those takes place in 50 BC with Colossseum being around and Julius Caesar attending.

Vespasian began construction around AD 70, and it was completed by his son Titus in AD 80 ( or 81 )
