Hi everyone, just started watching this and am loving it. I'm only halfway through season 1 and I saw on Imdb that some of the main actors aren't in all the seasons and on the poster its mostly randoms.
I was wondering how many seasons are actually good and have all the original cast, and if I should watch all nine seasons. Also heads up if any of my favourites (Haley, Lucas, Brooke, Nathan) get really crappy or out of character storylines. Thanks :)
Well if you're anything like me you'd be able to choose a few storylines going on that'll keep your interest in the later seasons.
shareI've still never watched Seasons 5 and 6 the whole way through. There are a ton of bad episodes in those seasons and they are pretty boring.
shareSeason 7 starts feeling like a different show. Lucas and Peyton have left by then and more focus is placed on Haley and Nathan's family which is ok but I could really feel the gap story wise left behind by L&P. The new characters they bring in are mostly ordinary too.
One good thing about OTH is they don't do long story arcs so if you get one you don't like it will only last 3-4 eps tops before they conclude it.
It starts to go a little weird(er) about half way through season 8. Season 9 starts slow but gets better. They could have ended it 2 eps earlier as the final 2 episodes are mostly filler and winding down really.
In fact they could have ended it at the end of season 8 and it would have been just fine.
