it is a masterpiece. Ganz's performance was sublime.

It truly was an excellent performance.

Yeah, it's a very good film. Ganz was amazing to be honest. If you like this, I would also recommend The Captain (2017). Another film based on a true story involving the last days of WWII, but this is focused on a German war deserter that pretends to be a Captain and goes on a killing spree. It features another outstanding performance by the lead character played by Max Hubacher. Seems to be an overlooked film here in the states but it shouldn't be. it's very good... https://moviechat.org/tt6763252/The-Captain

His performance is amazing, people should view it just for that, it's such a shame regular movie goers* saw so few of Bruno’s films (Including myself) or know him just because of the many hilarious Downfall parodies on YouTube (But not the actual film).

*Non German speaking.
