I really hate it when actors leave show for their own reasons and then producers just use it to kill of character for shock reasons. It always feels cheap and manipulative. And stupid. Since it rules out for actor to appear as guest later on.

And some actors are full of themselves and their own drama when become famous on some famous show and then think they are big stars now and can leave show and never come back. Only to see that no one cares about them once they left and many agree to come back for episode or two if show is still running. But when they are killed off - they cant.

They really did well with Walking Dead Maggie actress for once. She didnt want to do show and wanted more money. But was smart enough and ask not to kill her off and leave door open. Went to do another show and it was cancelled after once season. Then she came back to Walking Dead and now has her own spin off show. This is how smart actors and producers should do.

Here Marissa should have gone abroad and then come back for few episodes if actress felt like it. But they killed her off for shock factor and it backfired.
