Season 3's finale was so underwhelming

They was building up Hearst as this big villain, Hearst vs Swearengen who will win? You had Ellsworth getting killed, you had Dan kill Hearst's muscle, Trixie shot Hearst, both sides was losing people, but in the final episode who will be left standing?

And Hearst just packs up and leaves camp.....Talk about one of the biggest underwhelming finales of any show, you build a villain up all season so in the final episode he just leaves and no one dies. And the final shot is just Al cleaning up the blood of a whore, ending like any episode in the middle of the season would end.
