Colin Farrel talks negative reaction

This was the peak of Hollywood trying to make Colin Farrell the next Brad Pitt who had a hit with his own historical war epic 'Troy'. Oliver Stone kind of became a hack by this time though, so bad timing.

I'm sure that was difficult for him. To be fair, the film was not really a "bad" movie, it just didn't live up to expectations. A figure like Alexander the Great, especially in the hands of a legendary filmmaker, should've been better.
