Why did Subzero leave Jax ...

He ripped off Jax’s arms, pushed Jax off. Then he leaves, allowing Lui Kang to eventually come and take Jax

The whole plot centered on how Sub Zero and company needed to kill everyone with that mark. That was mission #1. Why, then, would he leave any doubt about Jax’s death? Why wouldn’t he rip Jax’s head off or something, or at least check Jax’s pulse?

It’s like those horror slash movies where the heroes knock the villain out, but then they refrain from killing the villain. Except the roles here are reversed, with the villain making the dumb mistake

But the plot centered on how pivotal it was for them to kill anyone with the mark. That was top priority. Why would he rely on “looks pretty dead” instead of “yeah, he is dead”

He should have died but was lucky. Remember was Kang said later, 'the ice prevented (something something)' or similar.

He seems to have a knack for doing a half ass job. With Scorpion too, he just looks and walks off. Dude is a masochist.

...also he knew that the monks would give Jax really shitty arms. He couldn’t even lift up his own body weight. What were they thinking with giving that huge man toothpick arms.
