The movie indicated that Lizzie had feelings for Gordo, including kissing him at the end. However, I doubt their relationship would come to anything. His religion and relatives would try to get in the way of them ever getting married, and Lizzie doesn't sound like someone who would want to become Jewish just so she could have the guy she wanted. And even if she did, her in-laws would forever see her as a Shiksa, an outsider who is something less of a human than they are. Either that, or Gordo would have to give up being Jewish, and that would cause a big rift in his family. Either way, I don't see good things happening to those two in the long run.

I doubt religion would be a big factor between them. It's not like they ever showed Gordo as religious just because he was bar mitzvahed. And Gordo and Lizzie have known each other their whole lives. Obviously, that means the parents feel the same way about her as Gordo does. I just feel like they wouldn't work out in the long run because of how shy Gordo and just because Lizzie has always had shallow tastes in guys.

You do recall that she was only 12 or 13 during the series, right? I don't expect most 12 or 13-year-old girls to make smart decisions in what guys they crush on or date. She fell for the hype around airhead Ethan just like all the other girls in that school. That happens all the time with preteen girls, even in real life. The movie showed she had grown up somewhat, especially after her experience with the Italian guy.
