Most convincing ''hallucinations'' in a movie...

Forget Shutter island, the beautiful mind hallucinations and delusions were incredibly convincing. It really draws you in. **spoiler** I was shocked when it turned out his British room mate was nothing more than a hallucination as with the CIA guy and the secret government facility. You would NEVER see this coming even despite knowing the plot about Nash's mental problems. I almost feel as a viewer you feel yourself kind of going insane while experiencing the movie as it plays with your head on the first watch.

It was done well. I was put on Klonopin and Ativan for a time (for no good reason I learned later) and it gave me closed eye hallucinations and constant auditory hallucinations. I knew it wasn't real, but I could still hear people talking to me. It took about 4 months to get over the withdrawals but I knew they were imagined so I could ignore them. I still had times where I had to ask myself if what I was hearing was real, but I was able to power through. It's hard, but you can do it.

I love how it was handled in this movie. I wouldn't have understood it until I had it happen to me.

I had a few psychotic breaks, was more paranoid and suspicious of everyone than actual hallucinations , delusionsial and emotional too, they were scary times, now i'm a just a big baby now basically, with little energy because the medication makes me tired all the time

i want to go full out psychotic again, i'm stopping my 10 years of medication

and no i wasn't on any drugs during those few outbursts, just upset and emotional and confused

It was fake though they used a few delusions Nash had and made it their own, like any hollywood movie does
