The main storyline in the last season...

I just recently binged this great show, and I know the recurring storyline each season always is a little absurd, but the one in Season 11 is on another level...

First of all, even if Larry had gotten the fence law repealed, it was still in effect when the guy drowned. That changes nothing.

Second, if he was so determined not to cast the guy's daughter, why didn't he just pay him off? Yes, I know Larry is a cheapskate on the show despite his wealth, but there are examples in earlier seasons of him spending lots of money for less important reasons.

I enjoyed the season but yes the main arc was problematic. LD is such a wealthy guy he could have tied that guy's attempts at suing up in knots for years with the attorneys he could afford.

That's not right.

I agree it was a creepy story line. It's sad that he used that Mexican
girl just to ridicule and hate. I'm no wokie that was borderline racist
and ugly, as was his "courting" of the old lady and making her so
incredibly revolting.

That's not right.

I'm not a lawyer, but how so? I just don't see how Larry benefits from having the law repealed other than he wouldn't have to spend the money on a fence, but that wasn't the main issue. The main issue was having to cast the dead guy's niece on the show. The only exception I can think of is if the law violated the state and/or federal constitutions..then yes, he would be off the hook.

In the case of people arrested and jailed for simple marijuana possession, when cannabis was legalized they get out.

I thought last season was not so good. It was like they were acting like caricature of what they think they acted like earlier, and I hate to say but this season's first episode is worse.

Still there are 10 pretty, pretty, pretty .... pretty good seasons out there.
