I thought Kristen Stewart was a boy at first

It took me all the way up to the time the mom referred to the daughter as "her" to realize it was a girl and that it was Kristen Stewart. Too funny.

That's what a lot of people thought when this movie first came out. This message board and Kristen's was full of threads like this.

I'm reminded of Spencer Treat Clark in Unbreakable. He looked like he could have been Ellen Page's sister.

She was a handsome boy back then.

I think we all did. She's an odd looking girl for sure!

She look like the boy from those "Home Alone" movies.

I’ve noticed that Fincher likes androgynous women in his films, who are also strong and intelligent.

Ripley in Alien 3 - bald, butch and badass.
Helen Bonham Carter in Fight Club - looks like a 12 year old goth boy.
Rooney Mara in Dragon Tattoo - same thing, plus Lisbeth is bi.
Chloë Sevigny in Zodiac - heavy lesbian vibe.
Margot in Gone Girl - flat chested and with man glasses. Also behaves kinda dude-like, whereas the dumb bimbo has massive tits and is more traditionally ‘girly’.

But yeah, Stewart in Panic Room takes the cake - literally thought that was a dude until we heard ‘Sara’.

She still looks like a boy, which is why her closeted gay male fans post about her obsessively. “I’m not gay. She’s a girl.”

Sure she is.
