How did Gracie know where the bomb was hidden so she could stop the winner from wearing her crown?

She heard the previous year's winner say that Frank (the son) took it to be polished right before the coronation.

But she only guessed it was there. She didn't see or hear where it was..the movie's writers showed everyone where it was..Why didn't they give her some definite info, too?

Exactly. She put two and two together. Surely you've wondered something then in a flash of inspiration it comes to you? (like trying to remember the name of a movie or something!) That's what happened there.

Gracie knew where the bomb was because she realised that when the previous years pageant winner said it had to be cleaned and that it will be ready before the winner was announced. So from that comment she grew very suspicious.

I think that OP is suggesting that she didn't really know. Frank could have actually been taking it off to be polished, and she was mistaken with her hunch.

But that's not how movies work. The audience understood the clue, and the hero will always end up being correct. So, that's all there was to it.

Plus she had recently found out he had a nefarious past, just like the rumours about his mother.
