It was shocking to see everything knowing what crazy pc world we live in today. I’m actually surprised that this movie isnt cancelled and everyone who participated is not forced to fall on their knees and apologize. Like they do it with Friends and other old shows.

What scenes do you think would be deemed too problematic?
- they use word "retard" I think. Not allowed anymore
- black woman being loud and obnoxious in theater. She even brought her own chicken. They would call this racist and stereotype.
- trans gym teacher. Man dressed as a woman. They used this for laugh and Cindy was horrified when she saw his balls. These days people are not allowed to be horrified and laugh at it. They should be inclusive and happy and supportive. Remember woketards shame Friends and try to cancel it because Chandler had trans dad and it was used for jokes.
- Ray’s gayness used as a constant punchline and joke. Like its something he should be ashamed for because people would laugh.
- Gays being villains.
- Cindy is being hit in a face and beat up by blond guy.
- Overweight girl at a party tried to escape through small door for dogs. It was used as a joke, that she cant fit in because she is fat. Just few days ago Taylor Swift was forced to remove word "fat" from her new video because woketards went crazy saying she thinks being fat is bad. This is considered fat shaming. They would be crucified for that scene.
- Drew saying to killer on the phone that she "has a boyfriend and he is black and will kick his arse". Racists stereotype that black men are big and aggressive or something. Just saying the word "black" would be offensive to white woke liberals.
- Doofy pretending to be mentally challenged. And everyone constantly laughed at him for that. Its some offense to mentally ill people. Woketards would find a reason.
If this movie would come out today - it would be crucified in press and cancelled before release. And all actors would be bullied and forced to apologize for being in it.
Of course some people would be offended but there has always been people offended by every movie since the dawn of movies.
I don't believe it would be crucified in the press and cancelled before its release. A lot of those scenes are funny because they are satire. For example, Ray being gay isn't the joke. The joke is that Ray is so flamboyant and he won't admit that he's gay. He's so over-the-top out of the closet and he still tries to pretend he's in the closet. That's the joke. Not that being gay is bad.
Maybe you have a hard time understanding context? Jokes at the expense of marginalized groups aren't always bad. It's how the jokes are made.
I think you're being disingenuous and pretending that the woke cancel mob care about context, I think what you're doing is called gaslighting. OP perfectly described why this could be considered problematic today with multiple reasons and you ignored all but one of them.
shareA lot of those examples are all pretty much what I described. I did agree there would be people who are offended, but there's always people who are offended. I still think the movie would be released.
shareI agree that the movie would probably be released but you're minimising the amount of people who complain about the exact type of stuff OP detailed. To say it would never be made is something I don't agree with but it would likely cause a lot of offence. Political correctness has stifled this type of comedy.

shareExactly what I thought to myself. The movie pokes fun at everyone: blacks, whites, blondes, males, females, fats, gays, transgenders, Asian, and religious people. I can only imagine the reactions to the transgender scene in today's environment. It's a real shame because this genre is fading away, partly due to the influence of PC culture. Some liberals today tend to seek out repression in any cultural text, whether it's in cinema or elsewhere, and have an incredibly low tolerance for jokes about certain groups. I don't think people today would even realize that the movie, for the most part, actually satirizes stereotypes and intentionally presents them in an exaggerated manner.
