Bruce Willis' Wife looks at him during dinner.
Pretty awful mistake.
shareIf you listen you here people speaking loudly just behind Bruce Willis. That is what she is looking at
shareYou're a complete IMBECILE if that's what you thought
shareJust watched it again at youtube. She reacting to the laughter at the table behind Malcolm. It was intentional to throw the viewer off.
shareIt's been awhile, but didn't she keep up the dinner thing as a way to remember him? If you did something like that, why wouldn't you look across and imagine your love one still there, or look in the vicinity of where they would be? I'm very confused as to why this is a mistake.
shareJust saw it again on Netflix and paused it at this point. She isn't even looking at him, she's looking over his left shoulder. Just a trick they used to fool dumb people I guess.
shareShe's got the look!
shareWhat's worse is how she said "Happy Anniversary"! Why would she say that too him when he's dead. And how she reached really quickly to get the check before Bruce Willis could. If she didn't know he was there, she would have been more casual about getting the check. I can't believe how many mistakes Mr. Scoobydoo made.
shareShe said Happy Anniversary, because she was talking to herself and reminding herself it was her anniversary and not to be sad but to remember the fun she used to have with Malcolm the last time that they were in the restaurant together including when he got down on one knee and proposed to her. Now she's a widow, adjusting to life without him and it's her first time back there and her first anniversary dinner alone and she's not expecting him to propose or even show up. She doesn't know he's there in spirit. So she said Happy Anniversary to herself and looks in his direction to misdirect the audience; it was meant to trick us into thinking Malcolm was still alive, sitting there with her, and she was mad at him for turning up late. She's actually mad because instead of turning up late, he's The Late Malcolm Crowe.
shareYou forgot to explain how the director is Mr. Shyamalan and not Mr. Scoobydoo. Now I'm going to continue getting his name wrong.
shareHis name is M Knight Shamalyan and after The Sixth Sense, his career seemed to go downhill to put it kindly, but to put it in the worst case scenario, he stopped trying. Maybe he knew that he was only going to succeed, once and one time only and decided to take it easy from then on, only he knows for sure.
shareIt's not a mistake, it's meant to be misdirection.
