I'd already seen Thora's BARE boobs two years previously in "American Beauty". She is very cute in this, but she does a good job of disappearing into the role of a character who is supposed to be pretty average looking.
Scarlett Johansen is more of a problem. I remember staring at her ass in her shorts when I first saw this and thinking, "Yeah right, THIS girl would be really unpopular in high school". She's about as believable of a teen outcast as Chloe Moretz in "Carrie" some years later.

As far as Scarlett Johansson, they did an adequate job of toning down her looks. There are some gorgeous, super model types who are late bloomers. They can look pretty awkward in high school.
I think ScarJo is like this. She became a lot more beautiful in her late-20s. Look at some of her early roles, like The Girl with Pearl Earrings, and Lost in Translation.
yeah, Johnannsen was way too hot for the character.

I just watched it, and I had forgotten how hot she was the whole movie.
I know Scarlett has gone on to be a much bigger star, but IMO Thora was much sexier this whole movie.

Thora has that goth chick and nerdy girl look combined that really had me stiff. Her character was almost like a proto-Aubrey Plaza I guess.
shareJust watched the film for the first time in a while. Man alive you aren't kidding. Both of them were stacked. So you definitely are not alone with these thoughts.
