Please please please Nicole, you cannot act.

I can't believe Jude Law was nominated for an Oscar for this movie, and
that Renee Zellwegger won. You forgot to mention their terrible performances.

I admit, I haven´t seen many Nicole Kidman movies, but I have to agree. It´s something about her voice. In Bewitched, she plays an excellent character, but it almost sounds like they dubbed her voice with Meg Ryan. You know how Meg sounds when she gets anxious or whatever in her movies? It´s like that, and it seems so fake on Nicole. Almost like she´s talking in a higher pitch than her normal voice is. I watched this film in German, so I didn´t have to listen to the voice, and the acting seemed to fit better, but it was still an air-head voice. Does she really like to be the blonde airhead?

i feel the same way. She keeps ruining all these good movies. I don't think she's a terrible actress but I've never once felt that she was the right actress for her role. I always think, 'They should have gotten someone who actually was pretty for that part since they keep saying she's so gorgeous.' or, 'She's a little old for that role.' or, 'She can't seem to pull off that accent right.' or 'That's not how I pictured her being in the book/screenplay.' or, 'I don't thinks he has the depth as an actress for that part.'
It seems there is always something wrong with her. That's how I feel about it. It seems like there was one movie where I found her appropriate but I can't even remember what it is now.

She isn't my favourite, I don't like watching her movies, sometimes she can look so cold ........BUTTTT !! cold mountain...She was amazing!!

she's alright to me. and she won an academy award for playing a person who didn't look like her. which is kinda funny, but she did a beautiful job at playing virginia woolf in the hours so i gotta give her props and she did do alright in cold mountain./ she can act, she just needs to practice her accents

I thought Nicole did alright for the film. However, she was not at all anything close to the way I pictured Ada in my head from reading the book. She didn't have that naive girlish quality Ada did - and I was a little bothered by the fact that her hair was blonde in the film, in the book it was not blonde, maybe not dark brown, but she was at least a brunette of some sort. I guess I'm a little nit-picky after reading the book because no movie ever quite does a film justice. The movie was fine, but I'll always prefer the book.

Nicole kidman was fine in this movie, it was poor old Jude law who messed up the accent! Many times throughout the film i could hear his english accent coming through. other than that though the film was amazing.
