The entire premise fall apart when you understand...

The matrix itself the simulation would need way more energy than the human can produce. All the system to keeping people alive, feed them, create the simulation and the agents, and all the programs, they are recreating the entire planet that would require crazy amount of energy way more than the needed for the machines

Even with the original intention of using the humans as a form of ram memory they would need to process way more data to produce the simulation, there must be ways more practical of doing that, than create a simulation of an entire planet with real people interacting with each other and the environment in real time.

No complaining Im cool with that, this movie is awesome, is just people like the dude who has almost fill the entire board of this movie with threads of plot holes I dont understand them the movie has logical flaw, so what? if a writer bound himself by logic no fantasy movie or sifi would ever be made

Is ok produce debate, criticism, theory, speculation about the meaning of this and that and sometimes is really fun, but fill a board with posible plot holes (and lets be real most of them are just no real plot holes at all while other are cherry picking, just a few of those threads have valid points) like people are no aware of them is kinda virgin

Just enjoy the ride men

At first the premise was to create these incubators to rein in the brainpower of all these people wired to the Matrix. I don't know why they changed that.

That would have made a lot of sense and allow for rather complex story lines on why and how they are specifically fueling human brain functions with stimuli.

It also fits better with the breeding for consumption angle, as we rear animals to get a more concentrated and tasty source of nutrients, when a variety of plants would suffice.

Maybe mentioning how the brain works was unadvisable, too nerdy for that time.

Meh.... and yet inside this movie universe, it works just fine like that.
Your thinking is only human. ;)

AI ( and we are finally seeing this right now) thinks and invents on levels we can't even dream up.
They invented the fusion power. And the human plugging interruptions. And how the matrix itself operates - probably in some extremely low power mode quantum computer we can't possibly comprehend.... except for the fact that we see it operate just fine like this inside this movie.

The original premise was that humans were used as processors, but the studio didn't think that people would understand that reference so they had them change the people to batteries.

I mean how do they repopulate Zion each time the machines destroy it? 7 men and 16 women are allowed to return to Zion to rebuild. 6 times now. Usually 100 years a cycle.

Okay, so where does their food come from? Where does their water come from? Where does their oxygen come from? Who operates the engineering level? Who organizes the sex to reproduce and rebuild a population before the one hundred years are up? Who operates the dock and control centers? Who replaces the light bulbs throughout Zion?

How do these men and women not bother to pass down their history that an entire underground infrastructure was left intact at their origins and they can’t remember how they got to Zion? Why do these men and women never ask the question how any of this stuff works or realize the machines put them there?

They don’t even question why the machines leave the Matrix open for wireless connectivity from such vast distances from the power plant or Machine City 01, yet they are somehow smart enough to build hovercraft capable of great speeds and construct EMP devices to use against the Machines.
