Did Portman and Christensen like each other?
Did Natalie Portman and Hayden Christensen actually get along or have any romance behind the scenes or did they have to pretend to like each other when they made the movie?
shareI think they liked each other and were friends, but if they truly had been in any romantic relationship, it would have made their love scenes a lot more believable, despite the badly-written dialogue and story surrounding that part.
I remember seeing behind-the-scenes photos of when they were filming stuff like the meadow scene, and she and Hayden did seem to get along, but their relationship never seemed closer than good friends. There was no real intimacy between them when the cameras weren't shooting.
