Jolie's character -- wtf?

It sort of reminded me of an observation I made (then later read by a film critic) about Bryce Dallas Howard's role in Terminator: Salvation. Bryce's job was to play the pregnant chick.

Angie's role was to play the hot young chick who bangs someone then bails out of the movie completely.... wtf?

It's just one of a few thousand examples of how this film was unstructured and failed.

by the way, lol at 33 million budget and 8 million gross

I saw this film at the theater and had no idea who she was. It was apparently filmed right before she became a big star. I barely knew who Cate Blanchett was except I had seen Elizabeth the year before.
