Reminds me of an old political joke. It was a spelling Bee that Dan Quale won over Bill Clinton and Ted Kennedy. Seems Quale was the only one who knew "harass" was one word...
It's how Southerners in the 1930's pronounced that word. Especially tough guys--or those who saw themselves as tough guys.
