If "Titanic" had it's summer release, do you think the film would've been as successful?

I've been wondering lately about this issue. What if this movie did meet it's scheduled summer release (July 2d)? Do you think "Titanic" would've been as successful and become the big event that it was?

A bit of a moot point really as we will never really know for sure. But I'll play anyway.
I think it would have as successful either way.

And I agree. Titanic would have been a slam-dunk no matter when it was released or even if it wasn't half as good.

The history and story of Titanic have fascinated everyone in every country in every corner of the world since that April night in 1912. Every film about Titanic has been more successful than the last, and this version was due or even overdue.
