Pam Grier's acting ruined the entire movie

Goddamn she sucks. Not even an ok performance, it was awful from start to finish. Her on screen presence is *beep* irritating. She singlehandedly ruined a classic.

reply

Lol, Grier was flawless in this film

reply

She was great....maybe its just you.

reply

Ma it ain't me. She *beep* sucked

reply

Nah, She's great in the movie

It's ok to like more than one actor. :))

reply

He/she is a troll anyway.

Pam Grier was great and smoking hot in this. Great movie with superb cast and if anything she was a highlight.

reply

This is my favorite Tarantino movie, and it's mainly because of Pam Grier.

reply

It's ok to be wrong OP.

Utah! Get me two.

reply

She was amazing, in fact the entire cast was amazing! A great Tarantino film. I watched again today after seeing it about 10 years ago.

reply

You're CRAZY. Grier was fantastic.

100% Comic Book Purist, and Bloody Proud of it !

OP: Put away the crack pipe, pally. You're getting delusional. Pam Grier is flawless in Jackie Brown.

she felt wooden to me. She felt like she was sleep walking the whole time. I only saw her have a real emotion like 2, 3 times of the entire movie.

most of the movie she felt very wooden, like she had no emotions.

I think all the people giving her praise in this thread are just big fans of her or just Taratino mega fans.

I have seen her do better, much better. that's what's crazy about it, she can be emotional and be good in her roles. But here it felt like watching a robot.

reply

Nah; not at all.

This was the first movie I'd ever seen her in. I thought she was right on the money (and beautiful).

And I am NOT a Tarantino fan. I HATED Pulp Fiction.

So I don't fit into either of your categories.

reply

i wll agree with you that tarantino had her there more as an iconic 70s figure than her actual abilities as an actress

"Tarantino had her there more as an iconic 70s figure than her actual abilities as an actress".

Probably. But she gave an excellent performance nevertheless.
