Max's body

So Ben waited until Julie parked, and then just removed Max's corpse, the crabs, and all sign of them, that quickly, in broad daylight, in a populated neighborhood? Sure Jan.

I think the idea is that he was following her in his vehicle and if the body was on a tarp it would've been a bit easier to remove him. We don't really know how far away Helen's house was from the car, could be a few minutes.

This is the best defense I could come up with, because it's really one of the stupidest scenes in the movie. Especially all those crawling crabs were too much.

There’s actually a deleted scene where they walk by a truck and it’s the same truck that Willis is later pretending to have car trouble with when the cop pulls over with Helen in the back seat. Willis was following her.

Haha for real! Most people in a nice populated neighborhood like that would be peeping out windows to see why a random car is just sitting there

And they open argue in the street and Julie screams loudly lol

That scene made me suspect they were dealing with a supernatural force, but with the final killer reveal it becomes apparent that it’s just bad writing and direction.

Williamson did much better with Scream where the reveal was a shocking twist, made sense in hindsight, and took the horror to a new level.

IKWYDLS was rushed and sloppy, with a few redrafts it could have been up to Williamson’s usual high standards.
