I defend the filmmaking accomplishments of Joel Schumacher and why he deserves to be recognized for more than just his two Batman movies.

reply

lost boys, flatliners and falling down are more memorable than his two batman movies

The Nostalgia Critic era of associating Schumacher only with B&R and as one of the worst filmmakers of all time has hopefully come to an end. It's sad that most people apparently haven't seen Tigerland, Falling Down, or Lost Boys.

Schumacher was one of Hollywood’s greatest directors of the 80’s and 90’s.

Lost Boys
Flatliners
8MM
Falling Down
Tigerland

Most directors have a dud in their repertoire, so what? Batman & Robin stank but at least he had the sack to admit it, and Batman Forever isn’t nearly as bad - it’s just meh and pales next to the Burton films.

Dude should be remembered for his timeless classics and his awesome visual style.
