I fixate on this movie. Love the soundtrack.

I think it will be one of my deep dives soon, gonna head over to the trivia section to see what's there. probably not much.

i love the idea that they made a whole fictional universe for this film, complete with imaginary stars but with real tunes to go with those stars. similar to when they construct a fake location just for filming then tear it down after wrap. (like the beach house in 'sleeping with the enemy' and penny's bar in top gun maverick; both places seemed SO real)

if anyone has any tidbits about the singers/production of these tunes, would love to hear it. thx

The art of set design and construction is fascinating. Many of the exteriors were real, including downtown Orange, California, and the stadium at the Orange County, California, fairgrounds. Yes, the soundtrack was excellent.

The title song was written by the very talented Adam Schlesinger. Adam was also co-founder of the band Fountains of Wayne who may be most recognized for the song "Stacy's Mom" but also released the album "Utopia Parkway". Tragically, On April 1, 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States, Schlesinger died of complications from COVID-19
