A really good film

This film is 2 hours and 15 minutes long, and it's worth every minute.

I usually can't stand flashbacks, but it worked well in this film. Surprised Matthew McConaughey had such a small role in it, however what he did, worked well.

Chris Cooper did really well in the role, and Elizabeth Peña was lovely and also really good. Their romance worked well.

I loved that the film contained Texas history and also perspectives from all sides. Texas is a very fascinating State with it's history and it's people.

The twist at the end was a bit of a surprise, however an interesting one. On the one hand, it can leave room for interpretation and that's always good.

This film has a lot of re-watch value.

Sad that Liz Pena kicked the bucket so young, while we're still cursed with Michael's presence

Michael is a Mexican-American actor of the highest calibre

"Michael is a Mexican-American actor of the highest calibre"

Who no heterosexual man has any desire to see naked and in chains, which was NOT the case with Elizabeth Pena. Early in Jacob's Ladder, Tim Robbins and some other chick BOTH openly admire her thighs

while i admit i have fantasized about Peña's sexie thighs wrapped around my head at least 7 times during my late teens,
i will not abide by an opinion that Michael is cursing the general public by continuing on his chose path of thespianism... did you not see the latest season of Jack Ryan?

reply

Nope... I threw in the towel on Tom Clancy back in The 90s
