The ending.

I was watching this the other night and was wondering about the ending after Sarah "defeated" Nancy. Rochelle and Bonnie went to Sarah's house the next morning looking to rekindle their friendship now that Nancy was gone despite having been mean to Sarah.

So my question is what are we to take from Sarah's behavior the next morning. She could have simply blown Bonnie and Rochelle off but she went out of her way to be as mean to them as they were to her, even calling on nature to frighten the girls with a violent storm, lightning, and a falling tree that nearly killed them and then warned them to be careful (threat implied).

I always thought that Sarah was the good guy and would continue to be so, but perhaps was just spiking the ball so to speak the next morning, but after repeated viewings, I'm not so sure. Are we to take from this that Sarah is being corrupted by the black magic and will now become more like Nancy was?

I didn't feel it was that. Sarah was giving them a warning. They're sycophants. They'll cling to whomever has power and she just used her power to warn them not to continue their pursuit.

Presumably Sarah is a ‘good witch’ like her mother - if you fuck with her she’ll make a python burst out of your ass but if you’re pleasant to her she’s harmless. She might even give you a nice spell - she wiggles her nose like Samantha from Bewitched, you look down and your dick is suddenly twice as fat, then she flies out the window with a wink ✨
