When the movie opens and the young boys are burying the game and ride away you see a grave. That leads the viewer to believe someone died due to the game. But the game instructions say if you finish the game it will all go away. I am assuming those kids didn't finish the game, so why were their pieces not in the same place the way Alan's and Sarah's were? Shouldnt those pieces have remained in the same spots when Alan and Sarah started their game?
shareThat actually wasn't a grave, but rather a direction post. It was showing how many miles to the nearest town. No one died in the previous game and they did finish it, they just wanted to get rid of it once they had.

shareI just started this movie and noticed the same thing. I too mistook it for a grave.
If you notice the stone says, "Brantford." on it. Which is the name of the town. I did notice that before when watching the movie a long ago.
