I caught this movie on HBO today - completely random. I saw Renfro was in it so I decided to check it out. Of course you know that Dex is going to die and I was pretty sure it would be one of the times he "fakes it" but when his mom had to pull the car over and started crying - I lost it. Being a mom myself it really struck a chord.

And when he left his shoe in the coffin, it just set me off again.

Really good, sad movie. It's been a while since a movie made me cry that much. Though I still cry when I watch My Girl.

I didn't cry at first because I knew the kid was going to die but then I saw that he put his shoe in the coffin and I couldn't get the tears to stop flowing. I cried so hard. I loved The Cure. It's probably one of the greatest friendship movies I've ever seen.

I didn't. I have seen alot of movies that will put a knot in my throat but never anything that made me shed a tear.

I didn't, sorry.

I start crying just thinking about it. And it is even sadder now that Brad Renfro is dead. The film was on cable the other night and I was blubbering through the whole thing. I am sad that Brad died without fulfilling his promise, what a tragedy. I wish the Oscars and the Critics Choice awards had included him in their tributes to those who died. A great movie and a great performance make sure you have a box of tissues ready.

I watched The Cure tonite and cried through much of the movie! This is one of those rare films that allows you to release sorrow that might reside in your own heart, soul, and spirit at the present time in your own life! I find the release of emotion very cathartic! For another film as wonderful as this one, I highly recommend The Mighty! May you cry your way to a more joyful state: God bless all! :)

Just watched it for the first time.

I'm a 22-year-old guy. Just don't cry watching a movie. But this one ripped me a new one and I'm pretty drenched. Wow.
