This one is my "cry film". I have tried to not cry during subsequent viewings, but to little avail. I say little because the last time about ten years ago I only got really welled up, and held it in.

I have seen sad films, and been choked up; this one got me way back when I was young... I made it to the "shoe" at the end, then I felt to sad to take the scene.

I am 30 now and have not seen it for quite some time... I may try it again. I recommend the film, but don;t like to watch it with folks because it makes a grown man cry.

I'll admit it, this was probably the closest I've ever come to crying from a movie, but it didn't quite do it.

Also, I agree that this is one of the best movies I have ever seen.

This is actually one of a few films where I laughed while I cried, at the scene where Erik walks off with only one shoe on after leaving the other with Dexter. It wasn't pretty, but I couldn't help it. Thank god I was watching it alone.

I only do it with superheroes.

I have never cried in a movie before in my life. The only other movie that almost made me cry was Empire of the Sun. I got a little choked up at the part with Dexter and Erik's moms, but man, the part at the end with the shoes had me bawling. I'm even getting teary-eyed just thinking about it. It was an awesome movie, though, and is seriously underrated.

I cried like a baby many times during this poignant, deeply emotional movie! It truly was a great movie that changes you forever in many wonderful ways!! Sincerely, BobbyK

I didn't. I cried, but it wasn't the sadest movie I've ever seen.. nor the best. It just sort of left me with an empty feeling of how unfair life could be.. A very touching movie!

I responded to this page before it actually ended and said I didn't cry, but when the moms confronted each other finally I started bawling. Tears streaming. Damn.

Still, a fantastic film.

YEAH, BITCH! MAGNETS!
