Most unrealistic romantic movie ever made

I had pretty high hopes for this one, especially after I saw one scene on YouTube. But when I started watching from start to finish I realized how bad it is and practically, it is so unrealistic and cringy I had to stop after 1 hour and resume the next day.

It was quite boring too, but my problem is the actions of those people. They are unbelievable and too extreme cases which almost never happen in real world, for instance, a girl making first move on kissing complete stranger. It is fine that Ethan Hawke sparked interest in her and kept leading her at first, as it seemed from first glance, but it was actually just a shallow girl who usually sleeps with stranger leading him into his demise.

It is one of the worst romantic movies ever made and totally not worth the points on imdb at all. The idea was good though and the only good thing throughout the whole movie, but the execution and the script sucked as if it was made by some old feminist imagining stuff how it could be if she was 30 years younger or maybe even made for teenagers who believe in magic of love.

It is just bad movie.

Sounds like someone's got some women issues

Even the most primitive society has an innate respect for the insane.

I seriously doubt it was intended to be very 'realistic.' Linklater took a more mundane personal experience of meeting a girl in Philadelphia and hanging out with her for one night and turned it into something that was obviously intended to be more surreal and 'magical.'

I'm generally referring to the high romance aspect, e.g. the setting. "Meeting a hot French chick in one of the most beautiful cities in Europe." That aside, there's nothing unrealistic at all about two relatively/equally attractive people hooking up. And it's also not that unrealistic for a girl to initiate kissing/sex, especially considering Jesse had already made the first move in terms of initiating their hook up in general. When a girl makes the first move, that's a clear sign of low self-esteem. Most girls tend to feel that if a guy doesn't have the courage to make the first move, he isn't worth her time. But low-esteem-having first-move-making girls are out there. Still not unrealistic.

My wife and I spent the night of the day we met together. She initiated the flirting and sex. We're still happily married more than four decades later. It happens.
