Ray Liotta just passed away. This story is supposed to take place in 2022.

Irony or coincidence?
Do you know the difference?
Ironic that he died in 2022 where in the movie he is still alive in that year or coincidence that he died the same year the movie takes place in?
So which one is it or is it both?

Agreed, WarrenPeace.

Too many people use 'ironic' in the Alanis Morrisette (i.e. non-ironic) sense, when they usually mean 'coincidental' or even 'apt'.

What I was trying to say is that he was sent to the island in 2022 where it was assumed he would die. He actually died in 2022.

So, what are you saying? That Ray's still alive, and has actually been kidnapped and thrown on a deserted island inhabited by violent convicts?

If only that were true...assuming Ray is able to do what he did in the film, and escape.
