I'd rather retire at 30 after earning almost 100 million and not having CTE or a plethora of other injuries.

Maybe he does have as much heart as Rudy does, but its just not all directed at football. Perhaps he took a good long look at his situation and realized that there were a lot of other things he wanted to do with his life aside from football. He had a ton of money, is really smart, and his body and mind are in as good of shape as they're going to be. So why not move on to the next phase of his life, while he can do so on his own terms.
