Watching now: An Affair to Forget...

As much as I love this show, Frasier Crane is the most insufferable character ever written for TV. As it's made most evident in this episode. Soooo....

Is there anyone who thinks that Lilith and Niles REALLY did anything wrong by sleeping together? The whole scene led to (as most scenes do) Frasier screeching at the top of his lungs how victimized and mistreated he is, by...WHATEVER has transpired.

And SOOOOO melodramatic.

LOL I can't say I agree since I love Frasier Crane. I always found his penchant for melodrama and hysterics, while being "loveably pompous " (as he was described in his false obituary in one episode) highly endearing. Also found his insecurity and diva like behaviour when it came to showbiz hilarious.

Characters around him were always putting him in his place, and he was constantly falling victim to his awkwardness, egotism, and pomposity. Coupled with the fact that he carried a kind heart and wanted to help people - that all made him a sympathetic and great character in my view.

In regards to his hysteria discovering Lillith and Niles in bed - aside from the understandable shock, he also still carried desire and affection for Lillith.
