They can make more violent movies today, but not nearly as verbally powerful or offensive.
I would say QT could make this film today if he wanted to in this point in his career because he basically has free reign at this time.
Now, if a director tried to make this film for their debut in this political climate it might not fare well.
It is interesting to think of what QT's movies would be like if he was from the millenial generation, or if they would be as popular.
shareI am a fan of the exploitation genre films that inspired much of QT’s work and, strangely enough, these movies do have cult followings among millennials. There are retro cinemas in places like Portland that show these films and I’m told millennials are a large part of the audience. It seems there may be hope for humanity still. 😀

"Wall of Moms" is the most creative thing I've heard all year in the news.
