Goes from Hitchcock to a DePalma movie --

never saw this film, never want to, but that's a great post.

Sounds like a gas.

I'd say it first starts as a subtle, slow-burning neo-noir, then halfway it becomes a cheesy Hitchcock and finally, yes, stupid and over-the-top like a DePalma movie.
