T-1000's Form

While watching this film tonight it occurred to me that it might have made for a more interesting film if the T-1000 had taken the form of Kyle Reese.

Ahh maybe. But is Skynet aware that Reese is the father?

Wasn't that the original plan?

That was indeed the original plan. They knew it would’ve been a interesting twist to reverse the roles for Arnie and Michael in a sequel, so Michael Biehn was initially the first and only choice for the T-1000. After some more thought was given to this idea, it was they decided that this would’ve simply been a bit too confusing for audiences (the fun theories concerning Reese now being a Terminator would never end).

As intriguing and thought-provoking as the idea sounds, if u ask me things worked out for the best. The film is outstanding in virtually every aspect, and Robert Patrick as the T-1000 is so perfectly suited and iconic in the role that I can’t see anyone but him as T2’s villain. He gave such a menacingly effective performance.
