The Aftermath

I'm just curious; how will the townsfolk see Belle after she goes to live with the Prince after he and his staff are human again? That's one thing I've always wondered. Or did she live happily ever after?

I always wondered about how Maurice got over his initial capture. In the final scene he is stood in the ballroom watching Belle and the Prince seemingly proudly. I have often imagined the exchange between the two...
"So Dad, sorry for scaring you sh!tless and imprisoning you like that. No hard feelings?"
Hahahaha!

reply

Good points, but I guess that Maurice trusted Belle to know what she was doing.
It was pretty clear too that the prince had been under a spell when he imprisoned Maurice.

I sincerely doubt Belle had anything to do with the townspeople ever again, and they probably stayed away from that part of the forest and lied to travelers about how it was "cursed" for generations after that.

As you saw in the end shot, they already had a sizable number of people in the castle already, so they were not short on guests for the wedding. And I think Belle did live happily ever after with the prince :).

reply

Yeah.
It is not like Belle had any friends in the village except for maybe the book shop owner.
