I'm slightly confused to what the Addams family are..
are they vampires,
the walking dead or
just ordinary humans really embracing their love for goth culture??
They are human beings, not vampires or zombies, but they have abilities that are ambiguously supernatural.

They are not so 'one note' as to be merely goth I think (although goth is still regarded as unusual in very many places). Gomez has a touch of a 1930s dancer to him. Morticia is the only Addams, apart from Uncle Fester, who has a name that itself suggests death or decay. (as in 'mortician' or a wound that 'festers'. She is high, deadpan, serious, deadly gothic, Gomez is more an everyman, except a rich eccentric form of one, who smokes cigars, plays golf, plays with his train set and has fun with his secret passages. Wednesday is a teenage goth, Pugsley looks more like a young Fester. Are we invited to think that Morticia must have had an affair, even an incestuous one? Fester is too much of a Frankenstein-like experiment to be truly gothic himself. So I say that the females are goths and the others in their droll and darkly seductive shadows just cater to their whims like many a family.
certain there's some vampire somewhere in that family tree. in the cartoon fester is morticia's uncle instead
shareGomez is more of a staple of the Latin lover popular in the 20s & 30s like Rudolph Valentino that every woman went gaga for back then. He was the Latin heartthrob caricature hence his first name is Gomez, lol, very obviously generic Latin.

Gomez was not Mexican. He was a Spaniard.
