Kevin's dad in the mafia?

Kevin's dad wasnt a gangster.

I believe in the original scrpit it was explained that Kevin's father was a business man who worked as a smuggler and a middle man between CIA and Latin American drug lords and narco guerrillas. Kevin's mother was a high class prostitute and a dominatrix who provided services to Illinois politicians and the wealthy elite.

I guess they left it out from the movie because it was supposed to be a heart warming christmas movie.

I reject that since it makes everyone in his family a bunch of completely unsympathetic evil scumbags who you'd like to see get arrested and thrown into prison for the rest of their lives.
