The lifeguard who reads his lines off a cue card

How come no one ever talks about this guy?

When the dead Bernie is on the couch and all the folks come over for the party, this blonde lifeguard/surfer dude grabs Bernie by the shoulders and, looking straight forward past the camera is clearly reading his lines from a cue card, and the delivery is flat and terrible, including a stupid laugh. Guy is hysterical, albeit unintentionally.

"Worthington, we're being attacked by giant bats!"

The dialogue sounds dubbed also. Very bad dubbing.
He does look like he's reading off cue cards. The same goes for the guy with the tennis racket who also looks to be reading off a cue card.

Now you mention it, the voice itself does sound weird. You may be on to something.

"Worthington, we're being attacked by giant bats!"

reply

Yeah. Its definitely dubbed. I thought I had a bad copy or something.

I think he's checking out some babes at the party while rubbing Bernies shoulders

Channel Six News, they'll finger anything with a pulse!

At first I wondered what he was looking at also. The camera? But, then it's explained by his checking out the babes outside on the deck.

That's what I I remeber....cue cards...wtf?

reply

I noticed his terrible line delivery also. And what is a dude with a west coast surfer accent doing in the Hamptons?

reply

.....visiting?
