Star Trek V: The Final Frontier – The Worst Star Trek Movie?

https://www.joblo.com/star-trek-v-the-final-frontier-the-worst-star-trek-movie/

We revisit Star Trek V: The Final Frontier, a movie widely considered the nadir of the franchise, and almost ended the series.

There’s this theory out there that annoys most Trekkies, being that, of the films, only the even-numbered entries are good. This stems mainly from the fact that everyone remembers Star Trek V: The Final Frontier as being the worst movie of the series and ignores that Star Trek: The Motion Picture – while divisive – was a hit, and so was The Search for Spock. However, Star Trek V: The Final Frontier is indeed a bad Star Trek movie, and in this episode of Revisited, we’re going to look at exactly what went wrong with something that was clearly a passion project for its star and director, William Shatner.

imo Insurrection, Nemesis, and Beyond are all worse (Insurrection taking the title of 'Worst Trek Movie')

I'd pretty much agree with that.

Although to be fair I haven't seen Insurrection in a long time (maybe only at the cinema). And from what I recall, I remember that more just being like a (not even) glorified extended TV episode. It was just kind of bland, rather than outright terrible.

I'm not really a fan of Undiscovered Country either. I'd rather watch Final Frontier than that...

It really did suck, but personally I would avoid comparing it to other non-TOS casts because they really aren't comparable IMO.

Regarding this film, they really should have called it Star Trek V - The Final Insult.

Worst TOS - Final Frontier
Worst TNG - Insurrection
Worst Kelvin - Beyond
