Would YOU have felt like you had won the tournament if you were Daniel in KK3?

If you had won in the same fashion Daniel did would you have felt like a winner?

Getting a buy to the end and only "winning" by stealing a point during OT after getting wasted for the previous 3 rounds and having a nervous breakdown on the mat shrieking that you wanted to go home?

If you were Daniel in this situation would YOU have felt like you won at the end?

I see a trail of urine leading away from this thread so I'm sure WA won't respond since he's running scared.

reply

You see you are asking the wrong question (again). We'll come back to that though.
Anyone entering said competition is doing so under the rules of that competition. As such any such win is according to those rules. So anyone entering (in Daniels position) would have felt they had won. Otherwise why enter?

Now to the question you should be asking.

Would YOU have entered a tournament with those rules?

I'll start shall I?
NO!

reply

Answer the question I posed punk!

reply

It was answered. Read it again.

reply

You continue to dodge. You’re embarrassing yourself.

reply

The question was answered. Can't you read?

reply

No you keep saying that I shouldn’t be asking the question therefore you won’t answer it.

reply

It was answered

Anyone entering said competition is doing so under the rules of that competition. As such any such win is according to those rules. So anyone entering (in Daniels position) would have felt they had won. Otherwise why enter?

See.

reply

Okay, so you're admitting YOU would have FELT like a winner had you been in Daniel's position.

You are admitting this?

reply

I would never be in Daniels position. I'm admitting that I would never enter such a competition. Would you?

Anyone entering though understands the rules and regulations ergo they would automatically feel they had won according to the stated conditions.
It's not rocket science.

reply

You keep dodging the question.

It's a thought exercise.... doesn't matter if it was exceedingly unlikely to happen in real life. Maybe it would... maybe someone would pay you 1 billion dollars to enter such a tournament and you would agree. But it doesn't matter, it's a hypothetical thought exercise you refuse to answer.

We all know what would happen if you dared answer.

reply

It's not a hypothetical question it's a moot point. Something a thicko like you just doesn't seem to understand. Furthermore, you don't get to lecture me on answering questions when you have avoided answering a question on your standards since 5 days ago, dickhead.

reply

Answer the question punk.

You say you won't answer because you don't approve of the question but we all know why you won't answer.

Answer or this? Well this will all seem like a happy memory compared to what will happen next!

reply

Nothing to do with approving the question. I answered the question by saying I wouldn't enter in the first place. I couldn't imagine anyone in real life doing so either.
But if anyone else did, then they are entering a competition and following that competition rules. So answer this, despite being overwhelmed for most of the fight they score the winning point, why would they feel like they hadn't won?
How many boxers have completely dominated a fight and been knocked out in the final round? They are in total control yet get caught by a punch and lose.
How many football (soccer) matches have had one team totally dominate another only for the other team to break in the last minute (with the scores level) and score the winning goal?
It happens a lot. The difference for Daniel is he was forced in to entering this competition and in real life nobody I know would enter. Hence your question is a moot point.
Finally, seeing as you think you know why I won't answer, feel free to share.
In the meantime, why won't you answer the question posted to you 6 days ago?

reply

Pat Johnson was involved with the rule change. Judging by his body language, one senses the trading of sexual favors between him and Daniel.

reply

And yet he lets Barnes get away with so much. So guess he was playing both sides eh?

reply

He was powerless to stop Barnes’s wrath. He knew better than to get between him and his prey.

reply

Powerless?
He could have simply disqualified him. There were at least 3 opportunities to do so.

reply

There was no cause to disqualify Barnes.

He played by the rules.. there were sanctioned mechanisms to both win and lose points and Barnes merely took advantage of both for his strategy.

reply

Played by the rules?
1) He kicked Daniel between the legs
2) He hit him after the fight had been stopped and both were going back to their lines.
3) He baited him when he was on the floor
4) He swore
All grounds for disqualification. But then if you knew the rules you wouldn't post such nonsense. Glad to edify you on this.

You still avoid the question...7 days now.

reply

1) He kicked Daniel between the legs

An honest mistake. It happens.

2) He hit him after the fight had been stopped and both were going back to their lines.

It was justified. Daniel had it coming.

3) He baited him when he was on the floor

He was encouraging him to not give up and continue the match. It worked.

4) He swore

Big wow.

All grounds for disqualification. But then if you knew the rules you wouldn't post such nonsense. Glad to edify you on this.

You’re not qualified to speak on these matters since you’re not familiar with American tournament procedure.

reply

An honest mistake. It happens.

Irrelevant. It was a foul and if Johnson wanted to could have (and should have) disqualified Barnes

It was justified. Daniel had it coming

Personal feelings don't come in to it and Barnes should have been disqualified.

He was encouraging him to not give up and continue the match. It worked.

No, he was baiting him and should have stayed on his line. At this point, Johnson should definitely disqualified Barnes.

Big wow.

No. Big no - no in Karate. Instant disqualification.

World Union Karate Organization rules (which were the rules for tournaments world wide at that time) are what tournaments use as a guide line. If you can show me a rule that accepts swearing in US karate tournaments I'll retract the last one.
How's that for you?
BTW, odd that you replied to this reply to cruisin109 when you say you aren't the same person.

reply

Why are you being obtuse?

Kicking between the legs, and hitting after the round are sanctioned moves... they carry a penalty of 1 point for executing them... but that's the trade off.

It's like in an old-school beat-em up videogame when you use a special move and it costs you some life.

Barnes was allowed to do these moves as long as he was prepared to lose points while doing so. He gained so many points on Daniel.. why not spend them doing special moves?

Besides, it was Barn's over-utilization of these special moves that caused Daniel's technical win! Daniel should have been thanking Barnes!

reply

Kicking between the legs, and hitting after the round are sanctioned moves... they carry a penalty of 1 point for executing them... but that's the trade off.

No. that's why they carry a penalty. The actual penalty for a deliberate act like this is disqualification.

It's like in an old-school beat-em up videogame when you use a special move and it costs you some life.

Again, no. It isn't a game.

Barnes was allowed to do these moves as long as he was prepared to lose points while doing so. He gained so many points on Daniel.. why not spend them doing special moves?

Wrong again. The (ahem) special moves carry a penalty of disqualification. That Johnson didn't do so suggests he was paid off by Silver.

Besides, it was Barn's over-utilization of these special moves that caused Daniel's technical win! Daniel should have been thanking Barnes!

It was a poor plan that gave Daniel the opportunity to win. Regardless though, Barnes should have been disqualified.

8 days now and still no answer. You know why you won't answer, so do I.
Chicken shit!

reply

No you won’t answer my question. If u won in the same fashion Daniel did would you feel like it was a genuine victory? I think not. If it were me It’d feel like a hollow technical victory. You won’t admit this because you have a pathological need to defend Daniel. Oh and if Barnes moves were not sanctioned strategy why was he not disqualified?

reply

Yes, why wasn't he disqualified?
Common theory is Silver sponsoring future All Valley tournaments came with terms.
If anyone has a pathological need to defend someone then that would be you. You are always making excuses for behaviour that if you were on the receiving end of would cry like a baby.
As far as your question is concerned, as I said, I wouldn't enter a tournament with such terms.
You can answer your question from me or you can refuse to. But remember this, your silence just shows that I was right and you are a two faced hypocrite.

reply

If Barnes had done something illegal he would have been disqualified.. end of story!

You think you know better than Pat Johnson?

Would I enter a tournament under these rules? If I was defending champion getting an auto-bye no. But hypothetically speaking, if I did enter as the defending champion and won like Daniel did I would not FEEL like a winner even though I technically won.

Why can't you answer my question?!

You want to talk about hypocrisy? There's loads of evidence that Jessica was working for Silver and yet you deny it. There's no evidence at all that Pat Johnson was paid off by Silver yet you subscribe to that baseless claim.

reply

You think you know better than Pat Johnson?

The question isn't whether I know more than Pat Johnson, it's whether Pat Johnson applied the rules correctly. Furthermore, aren't you the one who questions Pat Johnson on a regular basis?
Oh that's right, he's only wrong if Daniel benefits.

Why can't you answer my question?!

Why can't you answer mine? It was posted 3 days before you made this thread.

You want to talk about hypocrisy? There's loads of evidence that Jessica was working for Silver and yet you deny it. There's no evidence at all that Pat Johnson was paid off by Silver yet you subscribe to that baseless claim.

There is no evidence whatsoever that Jessica was working for Silver, only conjecture. Let's be absolutely honest here, if she had been working for Silver all along then there would have been a reveal. Think about it. Silver reveals that he's been pulling Daniels strings all along. He reveals Kreese is still alive. He reveals that he is the power behind Barnes. Surely if Jessica was working for Silver it would have been revealed.
Even a moron like you must see that!

So no hypocrisy on my behalf for not accepting that Jessica was working for Silver . But hey, if they (the script writer or anyone involved in the movie) ever say that she was, then I'll hold my hand up and say you were right.

Maybe Pat Johnson wasn't paid off by Silver. Maybe Johnson just felt obliged to let Barnes get away with what he did because of Silvers generous contribution. But it's a better argument than you have for saying Jessica was working for Silver.

reply

So no hypocrisy on my behalf for not accepting that Jessica was working for Silver .

It’s a film of subtle layers. You aren’t astute enough to pick up on its deeper themes. Watch Jessica’s scenes again and it’s blindingly obvious she was on the Dynatox payroll. Don’t think anyone apart from you doubts it at this point.

reply

Oh do fuck off you lying cunt. There is nothing subtle about KK3.
It wasn't revealed that she was working for Silver which in itself is evidence enough that she wasn't. It would have been the ultimate mind fuck for Daniel and let's be honest here, we can all agree on that.
Don't think anybody here thinks she was working for Silver other than you and your alter-ego.

reply

The filmmakers planted several clues and it’s up to the viewer to piece them together. Details like this are what make it such a rewarding and rewatchable classic. Some films, like Citizen Kane or It’s a Wonderful Life, go overlooked upon release only to grow in critical stature over time. KKIII falls into this category. With the impending return of Terry Silver, it’s legacy will only continue to grow. It’s only a matter of time until it’s added to the National Film Registry.

reply

NO.

reply

You always dodge questions you can't answers by claiming that question itself if flawed... LOL keep dodging.

You say Barnes should have been disqualified for his actions.. Pat Johnson disagreed because he DIDN'T disqualify him. Ergo, you believe you know better than a karate legend like him... arrogant bastard!

I DID answer your question.... you refused to answer my question and instead turned the question back at me and complained I didn't answer when I did! Your hypocrisy knows no bounds.
I asked if you would have FELT like a winner if you were Daniel and you refuse to answer yes or no. Here's my answer: No. Now you answer punk!

It's sad you cannot put 2 and 2 together and realize Jessica was working with Silver.. all the clues are there for a viewer with even a basic level of brain functionality.

reply

And here YOU are dodging again.

You say Barnes should have been disqualified for his actions.. Pat Johnson disagreed because he DIDN'T disqualify him. Ergo, you believe you know better than a karate legend like him... arrogant bastard!

Remember this next time you call in to question anything regarding Kai losses at the All Valley. SEE HOW THAT WORKS?

I DID answer your question.... you refused to answer my question and instead turned the question back at me and complained I didn't answer when I did! Your hypocrisy knows no bounds.

No, you really haven't answered my question. That's just an out and out lie.

I asked if you would have FELT like a winner if you were Daniel and you refuse to answer yes or no. Here's my answer: No. Now you answer punk!

Which is your question not mine. Now answer the question I asked 9 days ago.

It's sad you cannot put 2 and 2 together and realize Jessica was working with Silver.. all the clues are there for a viewer with even a basic level of brain functionality.

It is truly sad that you can add 2 and 2 together and somehow come up with 5.
KK3 is a simple movie and if what you say was true then why no reveal? Even a moron like you should be able to see that. The reason you don't is because you live in a fantasy world. From now on my replies to you will simply be 'Da plane boss, da plane'. At least until you can join reality and answer the very basic question put to you 9 days ago regarding your double standards.

reply

Mr Wears, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I've ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response was there anything that could even be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this board is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.'

reply

Get him NRC123 he's hallucinating!

reply

Of course you would think it idiotic.
You're a moron.

reply

Have YOU ever received a bye in a tournament Wears?

Be honest!

reply

Yes

reply

Just like Daniel you had an opportunity to get a bye and took it?

reply

No.
If you understood how it actually works you wouldn't make that assumption.

reply

I know how a bye works. Lucky you got selected to advance to the next round even though you didn't do anything but sit of your ass eating crackerjacks. Other participants had to actually fight someone and win to advance. Why accept the bye? Why not resign from the tournament in protest?

reply

Like I said, you obviously don't understand how it works. You think you do, hence your diatribe. You have one tiny bit of information and think that's how it is. Come back when you are capable of opening your mind to the whole story and not just a tiny part that you think proves your point, whatever that is.

reply

Explain it then

reply

My name was called (first round) and my opponents name was called. I went to my line, no sign of my opponent. His name was called again and still no opponent. His name was called a third and final time at which point somebody signalled something to the referee and he went over to them and returned shortly after. He declared me the winner and I was given a bye to the next round. Turns out he'd (my opponent) injured himself the day before and his instructor had not told the tournament officials he had withdrawn.
Was it an advantage to me over my next opponent? Not really because he'd had a first round fight and had warmed up and steadied his nerves. Did I beat my next opponent? Yes, but not because of getting a bye. Did I win the competition that day? No.

reply

This all sounds highly suspicious.

reply

Really?
It's quite the norm for people to withdraw or simply not turn up to a competition after entering. There are usually a few byes in the first round.

reply

That sounds more like a forfeit than a bye.

reply

It's still a bye for me to the next round.
See: .
the transfer of a competitor directly to the next round of a competition in the absence of an assigned opponent.
"he has a bye into the second round"

reply

But you HAD an assigned opponent. He just didn't show.. was probably in the locker room having Miyagi give his testicles a once over. Daniel HAD no assigned opponent at all before Barnes so that was a bye.

Also why didn't you start to do a kata when your opponent didn't show?

We've established that you believe doing katas in a tournament fight is perfectly acceptable and at least you would have worked up a sweat to make the battle with your next opponent a little more fair since he had to fight someone and expend energy.

reply

I did warn you: Da plane boss, da plane!

reply

Answer the question punk. Cos if u don’t then I’ll really be pissed. Now have you ever gotten a pure bye? Like you had no scheduled opponent at all and advanced regardless?

reply

You spoiled yourself. My replies to you are simply this. Da plane boss, da plane!

reply

I'm serious, did you ever get a pure bye? Not a forfeit but a BYE?

reply

A forfeit is a BYE. If you mean did I ever enter a competition knowing I was getting a BYE, then, no. I can't imagine that in real life (like Daniels case) it has ever happened. Such a competition wouldn't work.

reply

So you never entered a tournament that at one point had an odd number of fighters so they gave you a bye to the next round? Never?

reply

I didn't, no. But it happens. In that respect, the competitor wouldn't know in advance. They would just show up. Wait for their name to be called as well as their opponent. After two calls there would be a third and final call. If there is no response, then they would be awarded the victory and a bye in to the next round.
That's the procedure

reply

Did I win the competition that day? No.

Did you try using the front sweep? These tournament guys are suckers for the front sweep it'll get 'em everytime!

reply

Yes

reply

Obviously you didn't do it right. Otherwise you would have surely won.

reply

Or, now here's a thing, Silver was wrong...again!

reply

OMG tell me you didn't actually bring a BROOM to the tournament.. that's not how sweeping works in karate despite what Miyagi told you.

reply

Da plane boss, da plane!

reply

WA:” Just don’t make fun of me alright!”

reply

Watch your bloody mouth, and learn how to spell. It's "bye," not "buy."

It was an empty victory. The crowd seemed less impressed than the year before. Daniel’s exaggerated celebration was an insult to the sport.

reply share

Seeing as you love being a grammar nazi, it's BYE not BUY! The rest of your description of the fight is so inaccurate it beggars belief. There wasn't three rounds for Daniel. There was the final and sudden death. Stealing a point? He flips Barnes like a pancake and takes the point. End of story. At least get your facts straight for fucks sake!

reply

In all your years as a karate instructor, have you ever seen a tournament have the defending champion automatically advance to the final?

If it did happen, what would the reaction be among the entrants and instructors?

reply

Never
Thought we'd covered this. I would never enter myself or my students in to such a tournament. No other instructor I know would either.

reply

What does that say about the validity of Daniel’s victory? Barnes had toiled through multiple opponents on his way to the final and only had the length of Silver’s speech to rest. He will always be the people’s champion.

reply

What does it say about anyone entering that competition?
As for the validity of Daniels victory, everything went as per the rules of THAT competition. Barnes was an athlete in great physical condition. There is no way he was tired. Surely you aren't using that as an excuse for him losing? He lost quite simply because the plan itself was flawed.

reply

Daniel should have been deducted a point and disqualified during the sudden death round for his illegal kata routine. The refereeing at those things was all over the place.

reply

Except it wasn't illegal. If it had been then he would have been deducted a point.

reply

Have you ever seen someone perform kata in the middle of a tournament fight? What would the reaction from the officials be?

reply

The reaction would be to referee the match.

reply

It was bad sportsmanship on Daniel’s part to get into it mid-match and showed a complete lack of respect for his opponent. Really hope the CK writers give Barnes justice in season four.

reply

Bad sportsmanship?
No. Bad sportsmanship is something like punching someone as they are walking back to their line after the ref stops the fight.
Hope Daniel gets justice for that in season 4.
Or kicking someone between the legs.
Hope Daniel gets justice for that season 4.
Barnes showed zero respect for Daniel or Karate for that matter, so your post is laughable.

reply

Daniel attacked a fan who went to check on him after his blow to the groin. He was clearly fine.
Barnes was practicing a move, randomly punching into the air. Daniel’s face took up so much space, he accidentally made contact. (“He ran into my fist.”)
It was a bit harsh of referee Johnson to penalize Barnes for an honest mistake. Meanwhile, Daniel got off scot-free for assaulting a member of the paying audience. Fishy stuff indeed.

reply

A fan?
Oh you mean Snake. Hardly a fan. In fact someone who shouldn't have been in that area.

Barnes was practicing a move, randomly punching into the air. Daniel’s face took up so much space, he accidentally made contact. (“He ran into my fist.”)

That's just a lie. Shame on you

It was a bit harsh of referee Johnson to penalize Barnes for an honest mistake. Meanwhile, Daniel got off scot-free for assaulting a member of the paying audience. Fishy stuff indeed.

Oh dear. You really believe that don't you?
I remember when the old on line Kai used to say stuff like that as fun. In fact at times it was funny. People like you spoiled it though by thinking it was real.

reply

While Miyagi remained on the sidelines, indifferent to Daniel’s suffering, Reginald was the only one to show any concern for his well being. (“Hey, Danny. How are the family jewels?”). His sportsmanlike compassion was met with misplaced aggression by Daniel, who should have been penalized for assaulting a fan. His behavior was reminiscent of Ron Artest during the infamous Malice in the Palace of 2004.

This board deserves a better class of criminal. You’ve lowered the standard of the discourse.

reply

This board deserves a better class of criminal.

Yes it does. Unfortunately it's stuck with you

reply

This is a pro-Kai board. You’re the criminal around these parts. Others came before you (timsy, beatdownkid, kingsonny), who posed a more interesting challenge. Debating you has become as predictable as the Groundhog Day restaurant scene.

reply

This is a pro-Kai board.

It's a Karate Kid 3 board, dicksplash!

You’re the criminal around these parts.

Really?

Others came before you (timsy, beatdownkid, kingsonny), who posed a more interesting challenge.

If that were true then they'd still be here wouldn't they?

Debating you has become as predictable as Groundhog Day.

Yet you continue to lose don't you?

Enjoy watching me win...again

reply

The Kai has successfully colonized the board for the better part of two decades. You are a dissident and political prisoner, confined to a basement cell. If you continue to be insubordinate we will have to consider taking away your internet privileges.

reply

If you continue to be insubordinate we will have to consider taking away your internet privileges.
Believe you already tried that and it didn't work out too well for you did it?

reply

Of course Daniel won. The opponent used a series of illegal moves and dirty tricks-- kicking him in the nuts, sucker punching him between rounds, etc.-- but could not beat him using legal karate. Daniel was the superior fighter, and he beat the kid whose primary weapons were dirty play and a big mouth. I think Daniel should feel especially proud that he beat an opponent like that.

reply

If you take a closer look, it was Daniel who was at fault throughout the fight.

reply

Especially if you look through the eyes of NRC123.
If you look through normal eyes then you will see he (NRC123) is an utter clown who can't tell his arsehole from his elbow.

reply

I don't understand what he sees. In what world did Daniel commit fouls throughout the fight?

reply

What am I missing? The other kid kicked him in the nuts, punched him in the face in between rounds, and did numerous other illegal moves. If it weren't a film, he'd have been disqualified long before the final round.

reply

What am I missing?

Nothing. He's the one being wilfully ignorant.

reply

He must be trolling. He's not even making sense.

reply

He's been doing it for years. There used to be a gang of them, but all that's left is this clown and his sock puppet account cruisin109.

reply

No he got owned the whole time. I would of been honest with myself and known it was a fluke. Which should of made him train harder and become better. Daniel was straight garbage. It's funny how in cobra kai he's like this super expert now and beats almost everyone. They need a backstory on how he became so good after being so trash. I do cringe seeing Daniel pretend karate on the show though. Not natural at all.

reply

It's strange because in Part II he won a fight to the death, but in Part III it seemed like he was practically a beginner. Part II and Part III are in the wrong order, and yes some back story going into how he got so good since then should be touched upon.

reply

The idea that Daniel was terrified of a little pain in mere tournament play after facing a fight to the death shows the extent of his mental deterioration after a year of being under Miyagis corrupting influence.

reply

There's nothing strange about it at all.
As you say, in part 2 he won a fight to the death. that was Daniel and Miyagis story done. The writer Robert Mark Kamen wanted to do a story about Miyagis ancestors but the studio wanted to go back to the All Valley and Cobra Kai in a rehash of the first movie. So Robert Mark Kamen threw his toys out of the pram and wrote this shit. As you say we have this unbelievable scenario where the previous years champion gets a bye to the final.
The final fight itself is stupid, with Barnes winning a point then losing a point. It was always going to end with Daniel scoring a winning point in sudden death, which in itself is a let down when compared to the previous years final and then his fight to the death with Chozen.
But that in itself isn't what makes it bad. You have to take into account a self made billionaire (Terry Silver ) going to the lengths he does to torment Daniel. Barnes himself flying in to terrorise a kid he doesn't even know. The whole movie is a car wreck and yet people complain because Daniel wins...AGAIN! What the fuck did they expect?
Then you have this idiot cruisin109 saying he stole a point. The whole thing was geared that way. If the plan had been to go in and beat him then fair enough. But the plan was flawed from the beginning. It was always a possibility that Daniel would get the required semi contact tap that would win the fight. And guess what? He did. Not sure why anybody is surprised that this happened.
Whose fault is it?
Mike Barnes? No
Terry Silver? No.
John Kreese? No.
The fucking writer, that's who.

Another rambling incoherent response from WA... nothing to see here folks just move along.

Lol.
Your tacit concession is noted.

reply

Like Citizen Kane before it, KKIII has grown in critical stature since it’s release to become a modern classic. Only after repeat viewings did the public come to realize the subtle nuances at work in the storytelling. No mere threequel, it is the conclusion of a saga whose universal themes inspired a generation.

Daniel’s decent into madness is an important chapter in his overall arc, as it reveals the ultimate worthlessness of Miyagi’s teachings. He would have been better off learning karate from a book.

reply

Yaaawwwwn!
Sorry, I got bored. You were saying?

reply

I would have felt like a total failure. I hope that at some point in the series his fluke win in part III is brought up, and he's man enough to admit that he deserved to lose that tournament. He got a bye for the entire tournament simply because he was champion the prior year?! What the heck is up with that?! I'd feel like a failure just because I didn't participate in the following years tournament.

reply

The fact that Daniel stole one point in his one (and only) fight after getting beaten to a pulp in said fight to the point of crying out was a disgrace. Daniel should have hung his head in shame, manned up, and humbly gave the trophy to Mike Barnes the true winner of the tournament. Daniel should have resigned from tournament competition forever…. His only legacy of ever competing being an old yellow stain on the mat.

reply

I agree. Like I stated before I hope this is brought up in season 4.

reply

No. There was no honor in that sort of "victory". It wasn't even worthy of a participation ribbon. Daniel not only embarrassed himself, but whole All-Valley Tournament, and the sport of karate itself. It would be like getting battered for 12 rounds in a boxing match and "winning" just because your opponent eventually broke his hand from punching you too many times. Daniel exploited a loophole in the rules that surely was closed the following year to prevent such a travesty from occurring again.

Barnes didn't do anything that bad. If so, he would have been disqualified. Unlike Daniel, Barnes had to spend all day fighting the best fighters in the valley. He was surely physically drained and his blows were not as sharp, therefore his accuracy wasn't top notch during the finals.

reply

There was no honour in picking yourself up so many times and then beating your opponent according to the tournament rules?
Then it is the tournament that is at fault surely?

Barnes didn't do anything that bad.
He did enough to warrant the penalties he received.

Unlike Daniel, Barnes had to spend all day fighting the best fighters in the valley. He was surely physically drained and his blows were not as sharp, therefore his accuracy wasn't top notch during the finals.

It's funny when someone who doesn't understand comes out with comments like this. Barnes annihilated everyone he faced that day without breaking sweat. His blows were accurate enough to score points and when deliberately losing points not take Daniel out of the competition all together. In fact if Barnes' plan was to defeat Daniel in record time instead of the win a point lose a point scenario, he looked like he could have done that. That guy wasn't tired in the slightest. People who enter lots of competitions are generally fit enough to go all day as they train for X amount of fights plus extra time.

Stop commenting on things you know little to nothing about.
