Smartest or most intellectual character
Which of the main characters do you think would be the most likely to do well in an academic setting, e.g. if he/she decided to pursue university studies? Who do you consider to be intellectually inclined?

Not Whinielle that’s for sure. He would just “take classes to take classes” and then bye bye college.
shareNone of the Kai that's for sure. They couldn't outsmart Daniel for fucks sake.
Jessica, maybe.
Jessica was smart and proved to be an excellent spy for Terry Silver.
shareSo good was she, some people remain convinced she wanted to be Daniel’s friend.
shareYou were somehow fooled in to thinking she was spying for Silver. Either that or you are so desperate for it to be so that you are trying to pass it off as fact.....it isn't.
shareCase in point.
shareGet back in your cellar you mong
shareDennis also deserved credit for his intellectual acumen. Thought quiet, he was the brain of the trio.
shareHahahahahaha!
Totally deluded
I almost forgot about Jessica, that's a good call...As for Daniel, it's not totally clear whether he eventually decided to go to college.
I have the feeling that Mike Barnes may have excelled in other spheres as well. He was extremely ambitious and had business acumen, so maybe would have been willing to apply himself at an institution of higher education, especially if good grades were a prerequisite to being allowed to compete for a college karate team.
Barnes was an autodidact who had already taught himself the ways of the business world. His negotiation with Silver showed a wisdom beyond his 17 years.
shareWisdom?
He flew to LA on a promise from an adult he didn't know and bedded down in his mansion before he had anything in writing. Sounds like a person blinded by greed. If this were a horror movie he would be the perfect victim. You know, the type who decides to check out the cellar in the haunted house...alone!
Barnes successfully doubled his interests in the Cobra Kai dojos.. that shows great negotiation skills and a wisdom beyond his years.
Silver and Kreese mutually agreed ahead of time on a max offer of 50% but they didn't know Barnes.. just a 17 year old kid.... would successfully negotiate for it.
Guess you missed the point....AGAIN!
shareInstead of being so judgmental, Margaret could have learned from Barnes’ example and maybe negotiated a higher salary for herself.
shareActually why does such a high powered CEO like Terry Silver have such a butt ugly gramma secretary? He could have hired a hot babe secretary who gets in the tub with him! I guess he was being charitable?
shareBecause he's not interested in women
shareThe writers drop many hints that Terry Silver is a kindhearted, decent person. He treats his employees well and one feels a real sense of family during the brief scenes set at his mansion.

^^^^
No, they really don't, but they do make it blatantly obvious that he's a twisted psychopathic dickhead.
Margaret was a good judge of character in Barnes case, so who says she didn't negotiate a pay rise from Silver?
shareBarnes didn't have business acumen. He was being an extortionist.

Snake. He already built a reputation in Los Angeles and taught Mike Barnes how to be bad. Just think about it, Snake is the guy who teaches Karate's bad boy a thing or two about being bad. Everything Mike does to Daniel was no doubt Snake's idea. Snake already has skills in verbal motivation, the ability to scrutinize the authenticity of signed legal documents, and gaining the upper hand in negotiations, as demonstrated when he asked for the bonsai tree. Snake is smart enough to pretend to be a terrible fighter so Daniel overestimates his abilities when it is time to fight Mike.

Well said. Each of the Dynatox/Cobra Kai members had his own special qualities. On the lower end of the spectrum, Daniel did not seem very academically inclined. He had a hard time keeping up during history class and had to resort to harassing a teacher during his off hours to explain things for him.
shareGive it a rest. 3 personalities now.
Noticed how you have gotten posts deleted too. Typical rat.
See you’re making some new friends.
shareYou must feel threatened to have their posts deleted eh?
you on the other hand are making up new friends.
Why would I get your post deleted? As the great Terry Silver once said: “Everyone has the right to his opinion.” Even you. Your friend SamGerard is the only person on record to actually report someone. He’s no longer with us, thankfully.
shareAnd yet posts were deleted. Posts that had an opposing view to you and your personalities.
shareThe mods must be blocking pro-Daniel fake news.
shareYet if what you claim was true then all posts that in your opinion were pro-Daniel fake news since then would be blocked.
Nope, not the mods work....Yours!
What did the post say?
shareYou know what the posts said...that's why you got them deleted.
shareWould be genuinely interested to know. Did you express your love for Daniel in graphic terms?
shareYou say you would be genuinely interested to know yet your post has that smug mocking tone about it that comes from knowing you can't be proved wrong on what you suggest. You know what it said. You got it deleted. Now fuck off!
shareBarnes because he studied the tides and also has a solid business background, knowing how to successfully negotiate 50% ownership of Cobra Kai dojos. What Barnes can do can't be taught in any classroom. Also, he was clearly self-taught in karate before hooking up with Cobra Kai. You can see from the 10 second mark in this video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zSA9yHA4yM ) that he didn't even need his teachers to get things done.
shareYet he was too stupid to follow the simple instruction of 'Get the point. Get the point', which cost him his 50% ownership of Cobra Kai dojos. And no, he wasn't self taught.
shareSo many classic moments packed into that one scene. Avilsden didn’t even bother to include Daniel’s dialogue so that it wouldn’t distract from Silver’s speech. Though Denzel Washington was solid in Glory that year, Thomas Ian Griffith deserved the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor.
shareGood job your opinion counts for nothing then
