this movie series should definitely have continued..
alas, in the 1980's, if you were a black actor and you weren't Eddie Murphy or Richard Pryor, you weren't considered A-list..
Action jackson had a black action hero who wasn't mainly a comedian (ala Eddie's characters), and hey (at the end of the movie, at least), he actually got some love-action onscreen (again, as opposed to Eddie's chaste 'romances' with his lady interests).. I say this not to bash Eddie, whose films I still go see, but in the 80's, Hollywood did a real flip-flop when it comes to supporting black action movies.. after the 70's era, the black cultural element was gone, it was now all about the "fish out of water" scenario of most of Eddie's starring vehicles...
