Recently I watched a couple of movies that are just making me believe men are just disgusting pigs. I recently watched "The Babysitters" a bunch of married guys who start paying high school girls to have sex with them; "The Loft" about a bunch of friends, all married, who rent an apartament just to take their affairs; "Higher Learning" featuring a bunch of frat boys one of which raped a girl; "North Country" inspired in a true story of a group of women who worked on a mine and were the first ones to win a case on sexual harassment at work; and the worst of it "Whistleblower" based on a true story about military men on a mission in Kosovo who used to go to bars to have sex and to torture girls who were enslaved by a sex trafficking organization...

Everytime I watch a movie like that the only thing I can think is why wasn't I born a lesbian? Because it makes me loose all hope that I have to subject myself to this sort of disgusting crapy men if I ever want to find someone nice to be a companion who won't cheat with some high school girl or who doesn't have a past of raping women.

To observe the amount of men who see women as sex objects is terrifying. The worst thing is that they actually think women like to be raped and they don't think they've done anything wrong. How is that even possible? You hurt a person, another human being, and you don't even acknowlegde or have the dignity to assume what you did?
In this movie in particular, the fact that the guy continued to be friends with the rapists even after seeing what he done makes me wonder whether there are still men will values who know to tell right from wrong.

There are plenty of men who are not sexist pigs. I've known many.

Movies/Culture, and those individuals that control the media, are simply personifying the liberal notion that all men are dogs, stupid, subservient. It plays into their agenda perfectly, and what better way to further this message than by writing "stories" that support/idealize their belief structure. Take a look at any major sitcom on network television, the fathers are written to be subservient dolts, and most of the wives rule.

First off, why are you even bothering to watch such horrible films about men, and why are you dwelling on the subject? Yes, men can be pigs, but a lot of women aren't much better, they just don't have that same label.

You first need to remember that these movies are fiction, and what you're seeing is a bunch of actors following a script. While the stories and characters are inspired by things people have seen in real life, nearly all of it is an exaggeration of real life to create drama that entertains.

Also keep in mind that many writers in Hollywood are jaded, stupid, ignorant of the real world, only know about life in the city on whatever coast they have lived in the longest, and typically come from rough backgrounds that most Americans never had to suffer with.

There are a few who are good at what they do, and even among writers, they are few in number, as are good people with a sense of right and wrong.

Do yourself a favor, and quit watching such films. Focus on the ones where the men [and women] are better people, or learn how to become better people. It'll do you well in the long run.

Have you ever stopped to consider that hollywood also objectifies men as people who objectify women?
