What happened to the author James Jeremias?

How come he wrote this classic and then disappeared from the face of the earth? There is nothing else on google about him. No authorship, no writing classes...

It could be many reasons (I like the idea of different pen names), but he might have written a story, sold it, and then had it changed drastically, so he didn't want to write films anymore.
